There is a lot to do

  • Start planning the Galapagos and organize an excursion for tomorrow
  • City tour through hectic Chiclayo

After the long day yesterday, we will sleep in today and plan a lot. We buy our breakfast at the numerous street stalls and then sit down for a coffee. There is delicious fruit cake to. Then we go to the bank one more time to withdraw dollars and probably for the last time Peruvian sol. We want the money deposited back in the hostel Check out the tour provider for tomorrow's tour to the private Chaparrí nature reserve. Unfortunately, pretty much everyone is closed over midday. We visit the usual one magnificent Plaza de Armas and explore the somewhat chaotic city center. The constant honking of the taxi drivers is quite annoying!

Then we go to the office of the airline LAN, where we would like to book our outward flight to Galapagos. Somehow it doesn't work because the internet connection is quite slow. After a tour of some shops, at least the tour operators are now open. At Moche Tours we book the full-day excursion to the reserve. Continue to the terminals of the bus companiesto reserve the night bus ride to Guayaquil. Unfortunately, the buses leave at 4.30 or 5 p.m. and we don't know whether we'll be back from the tour by then. We'll try it anyway, just stop at the bus terminal tomorrow. For refreshment there is a cafe and Papa rellenos (potato pockets filled with minced meat).

Back at the hostel we buy it Outbound flight to Galapagos for next monday. As we have just done this, we discover that Galapagos visitors are only allowed to enter with a valid return ticket. Great, so buy your return flight and reserve a hostel for Guayaquil. Now it is still a matter of buying food supplies for tomorrow.

Then we hit our bellies with the various delicacies that are offered at the numerous street stalls. Chicken and anticucho skewers, fruit juice, fruit and a piece of cake.
