After the meager breakfast, we get on our socks. Today we go to <b>Panama Viejo<\/b>. Founded by the Spanish in 1519, the city quickly developed into one <b>flourishing trading center<\/b> on the route between the west coast of South America and Europe. So the city fell in 1671 to a raid by the English <b>Pirate Henry Morgan<\/b> victim who set the city on fire. Total destruction led to the abandonment of the once prosperous city and Casco Viejo was founded.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>today <b>only ruins testify<\/b> of the former city, which are surrounded by wonderful tropical trees. Most impressive is certainly the still standing tower of the cathedral. A large part of the former city has now been built over by poorer districts. It&#039;s extreme again <b>sultry hot<\/b> here in Panama City. So we are happy to take a taxi to the city center after a relatively classy exploration tour through the ruins. There&#039;s a special one here at the casino\u00a0<b>All-you-can-drink offer for champagne.<\/b> We sit on the balcony with a wonderful view of the Panama City skyline and enjoy one or the other glass of champagne and enjoy the last rays of sunshine of the day. Then there will be a short <b>Round of roulette<\/b> where memories of Las Vegas are awakened. A successful end to our unforgettable trip. Then we go for a delicious Arabic meal.
