He made a name for himself in the Medellin underworld through marijuana smuggling and robbery. Escobar became notorious for his <strong>bloodthirsty, unscrupulous kind<\/strong>. Whoever turned against him was eliminated. With the increasing demand for cocaine, Pablo realized that there was a lot of money to be made with it. Indeed <strong>not in Colombia, but in the USA<\/strong>. The flight to the United States was paid for and two suitcases were handed over to them. In order to evade arrest and extradition to the USA, he confined himself to this palace and made the world believe that he was now behind bars.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By murdering two accomplices, he created power and influential opponents with their parents, who now made the media aware of the fraud worldwide. <strong>International pressure<\/strong> and leadership of the US led to the Colombian government intervening and now wanted to extradite Escobar. The rifle criminal escaped the authorities again.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On December 2, 1993, Escobar finally managed to locate and encircle, whereupon he shot himself, <strong>took his life with a headshot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The tour continues to the only remaining estate of the Escobar family. A <strong>Porsche<\/strong> as well as a <strong>Wartburg<\/strong> are in the garage. Next to it a <strong>Jet ski <\/strong>and famous family photos everywhere. His family museum is still alive today <strong>Brother Roberto<\/strong>who signs films and photos, what his <strong>Foundation for Research on HIV <\/strong>comes to good use. You can also pose with him for a souvenir photo. The remaining members of the Escobar family now live under different names in Argentina. We avoid the inner city, which is not worth seeing and is not safe. We stroll along <strong>wonderfully green streets <\/strong>and discover numerous <strong>Shopping malls<\/strong>. We boarded the huge BBVA Center and hit us through the shops. There are - especially for Niki - some souvenirs in the form of clothes. After this shopping spree we eat in the local food court before going back to the hostel. Here we get to know some other travelers and a few Colombian students.
