Well, not entirely voluntarily, but there was no bus to El Calafate available for today and there isn&#039;t too much going on in Punta Arenas on Sundays. But not too bad, after all, we both got a little behind with the blog and can use the time well in other ways.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>After this <b>Sleep in and a hearty breakfast,\u00a0<\/b>we read and research the next travel destinations on the internet. After that, will <b>Tidied up the numerous pictures of the last few days<\/b> and everything backed up properly again.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Only shortly after 5 a.m. the stomach growls and we march the short distance to the central one <b>Plaza Munoz Gamares<\/b>. We browse the few souvenir stands that are open and watch the goings-on at the <b>Ferdinand Magallan statue<\/b>. Legend has it that you come back to Punta Arenas when you touch the foot of the seated Indian.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>We have a delicious meal at a Thai restaurant and have a drink next door. On the way back to the hotel we stop at a cafe where we treat ourselves to a tiramisu and tea.
