That is why you will find delicious \u201ccakes\u201d, as the Chileans call them, on our breakfast plate. After a little planning we drive to the somewhat chaotic city of Osorno and then northwards on the excellent motorway. So we make fast progress to Pitrufqu\u00e9n, where we turn east.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>The following road is also in excellent condition and leads in the direction of the next volcanoes and national parks. The <b>Llaima and Villarrica ice caps<\/b> detect. Again there is a lot of farmland along the way. Finally we reach Melipeuco, where we turn to the <b>Conguillio National Park.<\/b> Paid the entrance fee at the entrance gate and collected information, then we drive on the rough gravel road up into the valley marked by lava flows. The Llaima is one of the most active volcanoes in Chile. Somewhat second back we find a nice alternative: A wonderful wooden house with a direct view of the currently dormant volcano directly opposite.
