During yesterday's internet research, however, we found that all buses are already fully booked. We only decide until Mendoza to drive and visit the city there.

After the delicious breakfast buffet, take a taxi to the bus station. At 9.30 a.m. the bus leaves for Mendoza, the Wine capital of Argentina. In the distance you can even see the summit of the highest mountain in South America: the Aconcagua With 6962 m altitude is he outside the Himalayas the highest mountain on earth.

We take a taxi from the bus station to the remote one Hotel Ibis. The mid-range hotel chain has the advantage of pretty much always offering the same service, which scores points with my parents. After all, at a certain age one prefers to travel more comfortably than in the wild youth =). Niki and I would prefer a cheaper version, but you can adapt.

After we have put our luggage in the hotel we take a taxi to the center again. We visit the headquarters Plaza das Armas? and march through the shady tree-lined pedestrian zone with many cozy cafes. The ideal place to have a drink, watch the goings on and read travel guides. Otherwise Mendoza itself has no real must-sees to offer. Tourists are mainly attracted by the top quality wineries in the area and the Aconcagua.

Then we want to try the local wine right away and drink two delicious bottles Dada Syrah Rose.
