Das abgelegene Archipel im Pazifik liegt rund <strong>1000 Kilometer vor der K\u00fcste Ecuadors<\/strong> und besteht aus <strong>13 gr\u00f6sseren Inseln sowie zahlreichen kleineren Inseln und Vulkaninseln<\/strong>. Aufgrund ihrer aussergew\u00f6hnlichen Tierwelt und einzigartigen Landschaften z\u00e4hlen die Inseln zu den spektakul\u00e4rsten Zielen f\u00fcr Naturbeobachtung und Tierfotografie weltweit.<\/p>\n<p>Heute stehen die Inseln vollst\u00e4ndig unter Schutz des <strong>Gal\u00e1pagos-Nationalparks<\/strong> und geh\u00f6ren zum <strong>UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe<\/strong>. Durch ihre isolierte Lage konnten sich viele Tierarten \u00fcber Millionen Jahre unabh\u00e4ngig entwickeln. Diese einzigartige Evolution hat eine Tierwelt hervorgebracht, die es so nirgendwo sonst auf der Erde gibt \u2013 ein echtes Paradies f\u00fcr Naturfotografen und Tierliebhaber.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-size: 1.75rem;\">Ein abgelegenes Naturwunder im Pazifik<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Die isolierte Lage der <strong>Gal\u00e1pagos-Inseln<\/strong> f\u00fchrte dazu, dass sich viele Tierarten ohne nat\u00fcrliche Feinde entwickeln konnten. Dadurch zeigen zahlreiche Tiere kaum Scheu gegen\u00fcber Menschen \u2013 ein aussergew\u00f6hnliches Erlebnis f\u00fcr Besucher und Fotografen.<\/p>\n<p>Besonders bekannt sind die Inseln f\u00fcr ihre spektakul\u00e4re Tierwelt mit der imposanten <strong>Gal\u00e1pagos-Riesenschildkr\u00f6te (<em>Chelonoidis niger<\/em>)<\/strong>, der weltweit einzigen marinen Echse \u2013 der <strong>Meerechse (<em>Amblyrhynchus cristatus<\/em>)<\/strong> \u2013, dem verspielten <strong>Gal\u00e1pagos-Seel\u00f6wen (<em>Zalophus wollebaeki<\/em>)<\/strong> sowie dem farbenpr\u00e4chtigen <strong>Blaufusst\u00f6lpel (<em>Sula nebouxii<\/em>)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Auch zahlreiche endemische Vogelarten sind hier heimisch. Besonders bekannt sind die ber\u00fchmten <strong>Darwinfinken (<em>Geospiza<\/em>)<\/strong>, die eine zentrale Rolle in der Evolutionsforschung spielten. Eine weitere Besonderheit ist der seltene <strong>Gal\u00e1pagos-Pinguin (<em>Spheniscus mendiculus<\/em>)<\/strong>, einer der wenigen Pinguine der Welt, der in \u00c4quatorn\u00e4he lebt.<\/p>\n<p>Neben der Tierwelt an Land geh\u00f6rt auch die Unterwasserwelt rund um die Inseln zu den spektakul\u00e4rsten marinen \u00d6kosystemen des Pazifiks. Schnorchler und Taucher k\u00f6nnen hier mit Meeresschildkr\u00f6ten, Rochen, Haien und riesigen Fischschw\u00e4rmen schwimmen.<\/p>\n<h3>Darwins Archipel und die Entstehung der Evolutionstheorie<\/h3>\n<p>Die Gal\u00e1pagos-Inseln sind eng mit dem Namen des britischen Naturforschers <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Charles_Darwin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Charles Darwin<\/strong><\/a> verbunden. W\u00e4hrend seiner Reise mit der HMS Beagle im Jahr 1835 untersuchte Darwin die aussergew\u00f6hnliche Tierwelt der Inseln.<\/p>\n<p>Besonders die verschiedenen Arten der <strong>Darwinfinken (<em>Geospiza<\/em>)<\/strong> beeindruckten ihn.
