Vom gewaltigen <strong>Amazonas-Regenwald<\/strong> \u00fcber tropische K\u00fcstenlandschaften bis zu den Savannen des Cerrado bietet das Land eine enorme Vielfalt an Natur- und Kulturlandschaften. Noch immer werden im nahezu undurchdringlichen Amazonasgebiet neue Tier- und Pflanzenarten entdeckt. In diesen abgelegenen Regionen leben zudem bis heute isolierte indigene <strong>Naturv\u00f6lker<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h5>Rio de Janeiro<\/h5>\n\n<p><strong>Copacabana, Ipanema, Zuckerhut, Corcovado, Favela, Karneval, Samba, Cristo Redentor<\/strong> \u2013 all diese Begriffe verbinden sich sofort mit dem Namen <strong>Rio de Janeiro<\/strong>. Die zweitgr\u00f6sste Stadt Brasiliens ist eingebettet in eine spektakul\u00e4re Landschaft aus Granitfelsen, Regenwald und Str\u00e4nden. Gleichzeitig steht Rio wie kaum eine andere Stadt f\u00fcr die Gegens\u00e4tze des modernen Brasiliens \u2013 Arm und Reich, Tradition und Moderne.<\/p>\n\n<p>Die Aussichtspunkte <strong>Corcovado<\/strong> mit der ber\u00fchmten Christusstatue sowie der <strong>P\u00e3o de A\u00e7\u00facar<\/strong> (Zuckerhut) bieten ein einzigartiges Panorama \u00fcber die mit Resten des Tijuca-Regenwaldes bewachsenen Granitfelsen und die <strong>Bucht von Guanabara<\/strong> mit ihren legend\u00e4ren Str\u00e4nden.<\/p>\n\n<p>S\u00fcdlich von Rio liegen zudem zahlreiche wundersch\u00f6ne K\u00fcstenabschnitte sowie die sehenswerte portugiesische Kolonialstadt <strong>Paraty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h5>Ouro Preto \u2013 schwarzes Gold von Minas Gerais<\/h5>\n\n<p>Im Hinterland von <strong>Minas Gerais<\/strong> liegen zahlreiche historische <strong>Kolonialst\u00e4dte<\/strong> mit prachtvollen Barock- und Rokokokirchen \u2013 auch bekannt als <em>Barroco Mineiro<\/em>. Besonders beeindruckend ist das sagenhafte <strong>Ouro Preto<\/strong> mit seiner als UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe ausgezeichneten Altstadt.<\/p>\n\n<p>Die Stadt erhielt ihren Namen aufgrund ihrer riesigen Goldvorkommen, deren Erz durch Eisenoxid dunkel gef\u00e4rbt war. Dies f\u00fchrte zum bedeutendsten <strong>Goldrausch des 18. Jahrhunderts<\/strong>. Hier sollen rund <strong>1200 Tonnen Gold<\/strong> von versklavten Arbeitern unter extrem harten Bedingungen gef\u00f6rdert worden sein. Ouro Preto entwickelte sich dadurch zur damaligen <strong>reichsten Stadt der Neuen Welt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Allein in der Kirche <em>Nossa Senhora do Pilar<\/em> sollen rund <strong>434 Kilogramm Blattgold<\/strong> verarbeitet worden sein. Ebenfalls sehenswert sind die benachbarten historischen St\u00e4dte <strong>Mariana<\/strong> und das barocke Kleinod <strong>Tiradentes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h5>Mythos Amazonas<\/h5>\n\n<p>Der Amazonas-Regenwald \u2013 oft als <strong>gr\u00fcne Lunge der Erde<\/strong> bezeichnet \u2013 liegt zu etwa <strong>60 % in Brasilien<\/strong>. Im Herzen dieses riesigen \u00d6kosystems befindet sich die Millionenmetropole <strong>Manaus<\/strong>. Die wirklich unber\u00fchrten Kerngebiete des Regenwaldes liegen jedoch weit abgelegen und sind nur schwer zug\u00e4nglich.<\/p>\n\n<p>Aus diesem Grund haben wir uns f\u00fcr unsere Amazonas-Expeditionen teilweise auch f\u00fcr Ausgangspunkte in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/bolivien-bilder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bolivien<\/a> und <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/peru-bilder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peru<\/a> entschieden.<\/p>\n\n<h5>Naturparadies Pantanal<\/h5>\n\n<p>Im S\u00fcden des Amazonasgebietes geht der Regenwald in den trockeneren <strong>Cerrado<\/strong> und schliesslich in das riesige Sumpfgebiet des <strong>Pantanal<\/strong> \u00fcber. Entlang der legend\u00e4ren <strong>Transpantaneira<\/strong> erh\u00e4lt man einen faszinierenden Einblick in eines der artenreichsten Feuchtgebiete der Erde.<\/p>\n\n<p>Das Pantanal ist Lebensraum f\u00fcr zahlreiche Tierarten, die auch im Amazonas vorkommen. Da die Vegetation hier weniger dicht ist, sind die Chancen auf Tierbeobachtungen besonders hoch. Mit etwas Gl\u00fcck lassen sich <strong>Jaguar, Tapir, Kaiman, Nasenb\u00e4r, Ara-Papagei, Tukan oder Ameisenb\u00e4r<\/strong> beobachten. Gleichzeitig gilt das Pantanal als gelungenes Beispiel f\u00fcr nachhaltigen Tourismus und Landwirtschaft im Einklang mit der Natur.<\/p>\n\n<h5>S\u00fcsswasserschnorcheln in Bonito<\/h5>\n\n<p>Das bei internationalen Touristen noch relativ unbekannte <strong>Bonito<\/strong> erfreut sich bei Brasilianern grosser Beliebtheit. Die Stadt im Bundesstaat <strong>Mato Grosso do Sul<\/strong> hat sich zu einem wichtigen Zentrum f\u00fcr \u00d6kotourismus entwickelt.<\/p>\n\n<p>Kristallklare Fl\u00fcsse, H\u00f6hlen, Wasserf\u00e4lle und unterirdische Seen machen die Region einzigartig. Zu den Highlights geh\u00f6ren die H\u00f6hle <strong>Gruta do Lago Azul<\/strong> mit ihrem tiefblauen See, das <strong>S\u00fcsswasserschnorcheln im glasklaren Rio Olho d\u2019\u00c1gua<\/strong> sowie die Beobachtung roter Aras im spektakul\u00e4ren Sandsteinkrater <strong>Buraco das Araras<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h5>Naturwunder Igua\u00e7u<\/h5>\n\n<p>An der Grenze zu Argentinien liegen die gewaltigen <strong>Igua\u00e7u-Wasserf\u00e4lle<\/strong>, die zu den <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Weltwunder#Weltwunder_der_Natur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sieben Naturwundern der Welt<\/a> z\u00e4hlen. Die Wasserf\u00e4lle sind rund <strong>150 Meter breit<\/strong>, <strong>700 Meter lang<\/strong> und zwischen <strong>60 und 85 Meter hoch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Besonders beeindruckend ist der Hauptfall <strong>Garganta del Diablo<\/strong> (Teufelsschlund), der eine gewaltige Gischtwolke erzeugt.
