Kanada ist ein \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigendes Naturparadies mit vielf\u00e4ltigen Landschaften, gewaltiger Bergwelt und einer enormen Artenvielfalt. Hier leben unter anderem <strong>Grizzlyb\u00e4ren, Schwarzb\u00e4ren, Elche, Wapitis, W\u00f6lfe, Biber, Orcas und Buckelwale<\/strong> \u2013 perfekte Motive f\u00fcr eindrucksvolle <strong>Kanada Bilder<\/strong>.\n<h5>Alberta: Wo sich die Rockies von der Pr\u00e4rie erheben<\/h5>\nNach der schier endlosen Pr\u00e4rie erheben sich hinter <strong>Calgary<\/strong> die wilden <strong>Rocky Mountains<\/strong>. <em>Banff<\/em>, <em>Jasper<\/em>, <em>Lake Louise<\/em> und der <em>Icefields Parkway<\/em> sind mittlerweile beliebte Touristenmagnete in der Cowboy-Provinz <strong>Alberta<\/strong>. Doch unweit davon findet man nach wie vor ruhige Wildnis mit B\u00e4ren, Elchen und \u2013 mit etwas Gl\u00fcck \u2013 sogar einem Wolf.\n\nKristallklare Seen, schroffe Berggipfel und m\u00e4chtige Gletscher bieten unz\u00e4hlige M\u00f6glichkeiten f\u00fcr Abenteuer und Fotografie. Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten wie der <strong>Athabasca Glacier<\/strong>, der <strong>Moraine Lake<\/strong> oder der spektakul\u00e4re <strong>Maligne Canyon<\/strong> z\u00e4hlen zu den sch\u00f6nsten Landschaften Kanadas.\n\nIn <strong>Calgary<\/strong> selbst lockt die ber\u00fchmte <strong>Stampede Rodeo<\/strong> j\u00e4hrlich \u00fcber 1,5 Millionen Besucher an \u2013 eine gigantische Show und eines der gr\u00f6ssten Rodeos der Welt.\n<h5>Mystischer Great Bear Rainforest &amp; Vancouver<\/h5>\nAls westlichste Provinz des Landes folgt <strong>British Columbia<\/strong>. Auf dem riesigen <em>Vancouver Island<\/em> und entlang der K\u00fcste w\u00e4chst der gr\u00f6sste <strong>gem\u00e4ssigte Regenwald<\/strong> unseres Planeten.\n\nAn der S\u00fcdspitze der Insel f\u00fchlt man sich im viktorianischen <strong>Victoria<\/strong>, der Hauptstadt von British Columbia, beinahe in England. In <strong>Tofino<\/strong> und <strong>Ucluelet<\/strong> kannst du den mystischen K\u00fcstenregenwald erkunden und <strong>Schwarzb\u00e4ren<\/strong> auf Kajaktouren beobachten.\n\nAn der Nordk\u00fcste dreht sich vieles um <strong>Orcas<\/strong>. Von <strong>Telegraph Cove<\/strong>, <strong>Port Hardy<\/strong> und <strong>Port McNeill<\/strong> starten Walbeobachtungstouren rund um <strong>Alert Bay<\/strong>, bei denen sich h\u00e4ufig <strong>Schwertwale, Delfine, Buckelwale, Stellersche Seel\u00f6wen<\/strong> und <strong>Weisskopfseeadler<\/strong> beobachten lassen.\n\nAn der K\u00fcste liegt auch die Metropole <strong>Vancouver<\/strong> \u2013 f\u00fcr viele eine der sch\u00f6nsten St\u00e4dte der Welt mit ihrem milden Klima und der spektakul\u00e4ren Lage zwischen Bergen und Pazifik.\n<h5>Gebirgiger Osten und wilder Norden British Columbias<\/h5>\nIm Innern der Provinz bieten zahlreiche Nationalparks fantastische Outdoor-Abenteuer. Im <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/tag\/wells-gray-provincial-park\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Wells Gray Provincial Park<\/strong><\/a> beeindrucken gewaltige Wasserf\u00e4lle wie die <strong>Dawson Falls<\/strong>, <strong>Spahats Falls<\/strong> und die alles \u00fcberragenden <strong>Helmcken Falls<\/strong>. Gleichzeitig bestehen gute Chancen, einem <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/bears\/\"><strong>Schwarzb\u00e4ren<\/strong><\/a> zu begegnen.\n\nIn den Rocky Mountains bieten der <em>Yoho<\/em> und <em>Kootenay National Park<\/em> spektakul\u00e4re Wanderungen zu t\u00fcrkisblauen Seen \u2013 Postkartenidylle und einige meiner pers\u00f6nlichen Foto-Highlights Kanadas.\n\nDer <strong>Alaska Highway<\/strong> und der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/tag\/cassiar-highway\/\"><strong>Stewart-Cassiar Highway<\/strong><\/a> f\u00fchren tief in die Wildnis des unber\u00fchrten Nordens von British Columbia. Ein Abstecher nach <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/tag\/hyder\/\">Stewart &amp; Hyder<\/a><\/strong> ist besonders lohnenswert. Am <strong>Fish Creek Wildlife Observation Site<\/strong> befindet sich einer der besten Orte f\u00fcr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alaska.org\/things-to-do\/bear-watching\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bear Viewing<\/a> \u2013 hier lassen sich oft <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/bears\/\"><strong>Grizzlyb\u00e4ren<\/strong><\/a> beim Lachsfischen beobachten.\n<h5>Yukon \u2013 Larger than Life<\/h5>\nWeiter n\u00f6rdlich wird alles noch wilder. Die Provinzhauptstadt <strong>Whitehorse<\/strong> wirkt bereits wie ein letzter Aussenposten der Zivilisation. Entlang des <strong>Klondike Highways<\/strong> gelangst du bis zur ehemaligen Goldrausch-Boomtown <strong>Dawson City<\/strong> am Yukon River.\n\nNoch weiter in den Norden f\u00fchrt die legend\u00e4re Schotterpiste des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/tag\/dempster-highway\/\"><strong>Dempster Highway<\/strong><\/a>. Bereits nach wenigen Kilometern erreichst du den spektakul\u00e4ren <strong>Tombstone Territorial Park<\/strong> mit schroffen Berglandschaften, Seen und einer reichen Tierwelt. Das Tombstone Valley bietet <strong>Grizzlyb\u00e4ren, Elchen<\/strong> und <strong>W\u00f6lfen<\/strong> einen idealen Lebensraum.\n<h5>Die \u00abtanzenden Grizzlyb\u00e4ren\u00bb des Yukon<\/h5>\nDer legend\u00e4re <strong>Dempster Highway<\/strong> gilt als eines der grossen <strong>Wildnisparadiese Nordamerikas<\/strong>. Entlang dieser abgelegenen Schotterpiste durch den Norden des <strong>Yukon<\/strong> hatte ich das seltene Gl\u00fcck, eine aussergew\u00f6hnliche Szene zu beobachten: sogenannte <strong>\u201etanzende Grizzlyb\u00e4ren\u201c<\/strong>.\n\nImmer wieder richten sich <strong>Grizzlyb\u00e4ren<\/strong> (<em>Ursus arctos<\/em>) auf ihren Hinterbeinen auf und reiben sich an B\u00e4umen oder Str\u00e4uchern. F\u00fcr den Beobachter wirkt dieses Verhalten fast wie ein Tanz. In Wirklichkeit markieren die Tiere so ihr Revier und hinterlassen Duftstoffe an sogenannten \u201eRub Trees\u201c.\n\nW\u00e4hrend meiner grossen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/ein-panamericana-reisebericht-409-tage-durch-amerika\/\"><strong>Panamericana-Reise<\/strong><\/a> konnte ich genau diesen Moment fotografisch festhalten. Alternativ f\u00fchrt der <strong>Alaska Highway<\/strong> vom ber\u00fchmten <strong>Schilderwald<\/strong> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/2014\/07\/22\/lager-than-life\/\"><strong>Watson Lake<\/strong><\/a> \u00fcber <strong>Whitehorse<\/strong> und <strong>Haines Junction<\/strong> nordwestw\u00e4rts nach Tok.\n\nDabei verl\u00e4uft die Route entlang der wilden Landschaft des gewaltigen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/2014\/08\/10\/entlang-des-gewaltigen-kluane-nationalparks\/\"><strong>Kluane-Nationalparks<\/strong><\/a> mit den Bergriesen der <strong>Saint Elias Range<\/strong>, darunter der h\u00f6chste Berg Kanadas \u2013 <strong>Mount Logan<\/strong>.\n\n\u00dcber den <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/2014\/08\/13\/ins-tal-der-weisskopfseeadler\/\"><strong>Haines Highway<\/strong><\/a> gelangst du schliesslich in den Panhandle Alaskas nach <strong>Haines<\/strong>. Eine Reise durch den Yukon l\u00e4sst sich daher hervorragend mit einem <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcelgross.ch\/alaska\/\"><strong>Alaska-Trip<\/strong><\/a> kombinieren.\n<h5>Grossst\u00e4dte Ostkanadas und die frankophone Provinz Qu\u00e9bec<\/h5>\nIm Osten Kanadas unternahm ich gemeinsam mit Kollegen eine Rundreise durch einige der bekanntesten St\u00e4dte des Landes. Unser erster Stopp war das h\u00fcbsche, europ\u00e4isch gepr\u00e4gte und frankophone <strong>Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong>.\n\nZuvor machten wir noch einen <em>Whale Watching<\/em>-Stopp in <strong>Tadoussac<\/strong> am spektakul\u00e4ren <em>Saguenay-Fjord<\/em> des Sankt-Lorenz-Stroms.
